CAMPUS GUIDELINES

USE OF CAMERAS
Since there are many magnificent sights in India, bring your camera but please do not take pictures during any of the ceremonies or classes in the meditation hall and breakout rooms. The Guides will let you know when it is appropriate to take pictures and when it is not, but we suggest you do so before the start and after the end of the Process. Please be mindful that photography tends to pull you and others out of deep introspection needed during any level of the Oneness Process.

DRESS CODE
To support and uphold a feeling of sacredness and auspiciousness during the courses and processes we ask that all participants wear white clothing while being here at Oneness University. If white clothing is not possible then please wear very light colored clothing. Please note that many white garments tend to be slightly see through, so please be sure to have additional layers underneath to avoid unnecessary expose of body.

SUBSTANCES
Absolutely no smoking is permitted on campus. The use of alcohol, narcotics, or drugs, other than those prescribed by a licensed physician, is strictly prohibited.

YOUR COMFORT
Because a significant amount of time is spent either seated in a chair or lying down on the floor, we ask you give sufficient thought and planning to this aspect of your physical comfort during your Oneness course. There are upright chairs in our meditation halls, but you may want to bring your own chair, pillow, or back-rest if you need additional support when sitting for extended periods of time. If this is the case, it is a good idea to invest in a portable chair that offers additional comfort.
Some people find the temperature in the meditation hall to be cold, so consider bringing items like ponchos, blankets, or socks so that you are comfortable. Likewise, if you are outdoors or walking around campus you may want to bring a hand fan to keep cool. We suggest you bring a water bottle and refill it in the hall or dining area so you remain hydrated.

SILENCE – MAUNA
In India, the idea of mauna is not just silence. Mauna is an inward journey. It is about having no contact whatsoever with anyone, including other participants and people at home. During portions of your process, the guides will ask you to remain in silence. Please refrain from speaking with others out of respect for their process and yours. It makes a big difference and will prove to be one of the most rewarding aspects of your work here. When asked, please observe the silence in the meditation hall, in your private and meeting room, and during meals.
